From the set of “8 Mile”

Like the voice of one crying from the wilderness I am here to share Detroit with the world optimistic at times and realistic without exception. I love her like family – when I am not enjoying her, I am ready to wring her neck.

I will be adding my perspective as a student at, and and employee of, Wayne State University – who lives in the suburbs and sometimes works for the courts delivering papers as a side job. In a given day I see some of the best and the brightest, and then a couple of hours later may deal with the type of folks that make the nightly news.

Detroit is a city of variety, from culture to architecture to goals for the future. Sometimes that is good, sometimes its bad – but its almost always interesting and occasionally even entertaining. Whatever Detroit chooses to show me in a day; I will write it down as I see it.
