Courting Tim Hortons
I agree with Diogenes in that we need to continue “courting chain” businesses to Detroit. I would love to see Tim Horton’s show Starbucks up in this city. There are already a couple of Starbucks I know of so there is work to be done. Tim Horton’s has amazing coffee, it is affordable enough for one to treat their department more than once in a lifetime, and if you don’t already know about roll-up-the-rim I suggest you run to the suburbs or across the border to find out. So if anyone knows any Tim Horton’s owners . . . or at least a good inexpensive place to get coffee in the mid-town area it would be much appreciated as all I can see is Starbucks.
Tim Hortons has these new pastries – which I believe are part of some elaborate method for “crack” distribution. It is unhealthy and unnatural the desire I have for them – Chocolate Rolls they call them…
…But I know better. ;)
And yeah, the coffee is really good for being from a non-coffee shop.
To Diogenes: Tim Horton’s is a coffee shop. I manage one in Canada and coffee accounts for 58% of our daily sales. That is why it is so good!
Jenny I most certainly agree with you. Thank you for doing what you do. Are the Timmy’s in Canada doing this crazy flavoured iced cappucinos and smoothees?
Yes the Timmy’s in Canada are certainly doing the smoothees, as well as flavour shots for everything else (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, ice capps, french vanilla…) and it is selling like crazy. I myself am rather addicted to orange smoothees and hot chocolates with a shot of orange. Yum!
