Train station is backdrop for new movie

Filming on Preston Whitmore’s new film, Crossover, began this morning at Detroit’s vacant train station located on the city’s southwest side.

Starring Anthony Mackie (8 Mile, Million Dollar Baby) and Wayne Brady (Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Chappelle’s Show), “Crossover” is an independent film about a tough, street-wise basketball player.

In a WXYZ-Channel 7 interview this morning, Preston Whitmore, a Detroit native, said that he plans to have the movie’s premiere in Detroit in February, right around the time that Super Bowl XL comes to the city.
