Learning Petanque

On Saturdays, you can learn how to play Petanque in Campus Martius. The game is similar to bocce, with smaller metal balls (boules) and a dirt/gravel playing surface.

The object of the game is to get your ball closest to the aim ball (cochon/cochonette). The team with the closest ball after all the boules are thrown scores 1 point. The first team to reach 13 points wins.

I’ll definately be going back to learn the game myself.
