Transportation Improvement Program. Don’t laugh.
SEMCOG has been a great source of data for me for years, especially transportation information. The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a list of all transportation projects receiving federal funding for 2004-2006.
The TIP online database is searchable by status (approved/pending), year, location and road name. A search for Detroit made my computer explode.
Take a look so you’ll know where some (doesn’t include city, county or state projects) of the orange barrels will be in 2005-06. My guess is: everywhere I need to be.
