The Nice Device
One of the great bands in this scene supersaturated with talent is The Nice Device. I think they’re touring soon, so a local show is not imminent — but I highly suggest you pick up some recordings.
Alicia Gbur is the lead singer (and, by the way, extremely talented designer – she did the site – and photographer). Her voice is absolutely perfect for the power pop feel, and the band is super tight. The live shows are energetic, but not overly dramatic, letting the music speak for itself.
They are a great band… Can I have my cd back?
they sound pretty good… perhaps i’ll be pick one up…
