great story…
people in detroit are waaay different than people outside of it… i’ve found myself just chatting with people at store counters for several minutes within detroit… in suburbia??? nothing even close to that… i’m lucky if i get a smile…

I had the same experience with a free push after my alternator fried in front of Riverbend Plaza, only this one pushed me into Grosse Pointe to the old Jefferson Chevrolet at Maryland.
Your good Samaritan wasn’t driving a beat up old conversion van by any chance?
