Detroit Film Theatre is back!!!!!!!!

As Girl in the D mentioned the DIA is reopened but fall also brings the new season at the Detroit Film Theatre. I admit my own DIA membership is used more often to see films than art. The films featured will make you cry, smile laugh and think. I have seen so many great films at the DFT that I can no longer make a top ten list of films without feeling guilty I left something off.

This season is looking quite exciting. My schedule is already marked with film showings. The highlight for me is this Sunday’s showing of Louis Malle’s Au Revoir Les Enfants, a personal favorite.

The DFT is on the John R side of the DIA.

I have to admit, I have not been to the DFT yet…it is on my “things to do in Detroit” this fall, though.

You’ll love it.. Let me know when you go and I’ll meet you there. I figure on being there for nearly all the Malle films and more… So excited about two of the documentary films showing this season too.
