Searching for Rosa Parks

As of a week ago I did not know much about Rosa Parks other than she had refused to give up her seat on a bus in Alabama, there was a song with her name in it by Outkast, and I figured that there may be a Detroit connection as we have a Rosa Parks Blvd. I came to find out that she too, a non-native, had chosen Detroit to be her home and where she invested in her cause. She is retired from public life but set up the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development. She made a public appearance for her 92nd Birthday and I look forward to her 93rd for a chance to catch a glimpse this incredible woman who continues to work for Detroit

Sadly Ms Parks is in very ill health and very rarely ventures out. She lives in the same buildings as your condo, I believe…
