Kimmel extends olive branch to Detroit

After making a derogatory comment about Detroit during the 2004 NBA Finals, it appears that Jimmy Kimmel is still trying to make amends with the people of Detroit.

His show, which is broadcast nationally on ABC, will come to Detroit the week before the Super Bowl for on-location shooting at Detroit’s Gem Theater.

Will Detroiters forgive and forget or is Kimmel in for a fiesty audience?

Kimmel broadcasted from Houston during last year’s Super Bowl, so this is no real surprise.

I don’t care about Kimmel’s apology, that joke just demonstrated his lame sense of humor.

As for Detroiter’s forgiving him, most didn’t even care, just the latest in a long line of “put-downs”. Another drop of water in the ocean to me.

Jimmy Kimmel coming to Detroit? Maybe I should polish up my paintball gun for the special occasion. That would definitely add some badly needed spice to his stale dialogue.
