Slows

I finally had dinner at Slows Bar BQ last night. All I can say is yum! Only open a little over a week, they are still working the kinks out but the food is incredible.

I am not much of a pork fan but the pulled pork with apple barbecue sauce was too good to resist. I also had the best side dish of mac n’ cheese in my life. Definately beats the blue box. I even had the oppurtunity to sample the cornbread. And from the stuffed looks of my fellow diners, I’d say everyone was satisfied with dinner.

Be prepared for slightly slow service. As I said, they are working out kinks. But then again, it allows you to enjoy a completely unharried dinner. I can’t wait to go back and try the non-chicken chicken sandwich. This place is well worth any wait incurred.

Have I said YUM yet?

Hmmm so, what’s the D-Met.Blog “slush-fund budget” for treating us all to dinner?

and I’m not talking Chateau Blanc either!

So you were there on the 24th? So was I from about 5:45-7:45 (not because the service was slow, but because of Oberon). I must concur about the food. We split a full rack of ribs, and it was so good, we ordered another 1/2 rack which arrived in less than 10 minutes. I’ve had ribs at quite a few places and these were by far the best I’ve ever had. Also, as MGAL said, the sauces are equally as good. My favorite of the 5 homemade sauces, though, was the spicy BBQ. They should really bottle and sell this stuff!

In addition to the great food, they also have 20 different beers on tap. Yummy food, yummy beer, what more could one ask for?!?!

we had dinner at Slows, thats exactly what it was S L O W S! Server was bad. Put things on our tab that we didnt order. Brought the wrong item to go. I will give it 2 more times. I can understand sometimes when a business is new, they just have to get the bugs worked out. Otherwise very nice place.
