Seen on a bus
Back in June, during a photo safari we came across this Kilpatrick re-election sign on the side of a bus. The bus driver saw us taking photos and yelled out “I didn’t do it.”
At that time, we saw more than a few Kilpatrick signs tampered with, though all have since been removed. Now all I ever see are billboards proclaiming why I should re-elect Kilpatrick. Question is does Hendrix have a billboard anywhere? Not that a billboard will effect my decision much, but I am curious.
I wonder exactly what the “message” is of painting his face black…is it a blackface/sell-out reference. I mean I know Kwame has really gone out of his way to make white suburbanites love him…you know with his incendiary comments about drug use and all…
Maybe I am ascribing too much meaning to the vandalism, but either way no meijer brand flat black can paint him worse than his own record or the Time write up wherein he was called one of the top three worst mayors of our day. I agree with you though that no billboard will change my mind in one way or another.
