Southern Charm

I have returned to the metro after a week in the South Carolina town of Greenville. It was comforting being able to read about Detroit during that week in a place that is anything but. It was even cooler seeing the Renaissance Center, the boats on the river, and my big blue bridges (the Gateway bridge) from the sky.

People in the South are as friendly and charming as they are reputed to be. I had to turn off my rushed urban mindset and reteach myself the art of small-talk. Just when I thought that perhaps I could get used to this lifestyle I hit a wall
