Best Band Ever?
On another Detroit website there is a debate going about whether The White Stripes are the best band ever/best live show ever.
They are the most recent Detroit band to go big but for me, they have never held much appeal. I personally think The Come Ons and The Sights put on amazing live shows, as does Brendan Benson. The again, for me there is just something about paying five bucks (or nothing somedays) to see a couple live local bands, especially when you can talk with the band before and after the show.
So here is the question? The White Stripes – greatest thing to hit the music world, a good band, good live show or most overrated act of the century?
Great band, amazing stage energy, great live show.
