Learn to Row at the ECORSE ROWING CLUB
Established in 1873, the Ecorse Rowing Club (known also as the: Wah-Wah-Tah-Shee Club) originally used, not the high-tech shells we normally see today, but 10-oar barges in races along the Detroit River.
These days, the 100+ member club sports all hi-tech shells (15+) and offers Rowing Lessons in June. I’m signing up, not that I’m particularly sporty, but I always wanted to know what it was like – speeding along the river under my own steam. Come along with me in June, we’ll try it out!
