I second Zeff’s for Breakfast.

The Sunday jazz brunch at Fishbone’s Rhythm Kitchen Cafe is good for something different. Buffet-style, with lots of great breakfast items (fresh omelette station) but also some Cajun dinner favorites –whiskey-sauced barbecue ribs, jambalaya, friend catfish, fried chicken, fried crawfish. Well, lots of fried things. It’s been a while, but it’s fun. Make sure to order a Bloody Mary, they’re pretty good.

I know this is a pretty late post, but my vote is definitely for any of the Original Houses of Pancakes (Grosse Pointe, Southfield, Birmingham)
