Daylight Saving Time Ends on Sunday

Just a reminder that Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday at 2 am.

You’ll have to set all of the clocks in your house back an hour and don’t forget to do the same with wristwatches.

This is also a good time to change the batteries in any smoke alarms/carbon monoxide detectors in your house or apartment.

These days, there’s a clock in just about everything. Undoubtedly you’re going to forget one or two bits of electronica… I always forget to change the clock on the microwave (why microwaves need clocks — I don’t know…)

And really, why do we even need to change the time 1 hour ahead, then 1 hour back — it’s ridiculous! Let’s just put an end to all of this clock-change funny business right here and now.

I ask all of you to join me in NOT changing our clocks. Just leave them. When people say: “Why are you Late/Early” Stare them straight in the face and pronounce boldly: “I Don’t Do Daylight Savings”

That’s awesome, Jeppy! I only wish we could boycott daylight savings. But doing so appears to have some negative effects: http://www.edmontonsun.com/News/Alberta/2005/10/27/1280763-sun.html

DST was instituted in the U.S. as an energy conservation measure. It is a practice that is also followed on other continents, such as Europe and Australia.
