The Detroit we’ve never seen

Ray over at DetroitWonk directed me to these really interesting video clips from Detroit’s bid for the 1968 Olympic Games. In the end, the games went to Mexico City but the videos provide a look into what could have been. Plus you get to see Gov. Romney and Mayor Cavanaugh pitch the city with old footage and that really retro announcer style.

    Those were great videos. I especially like how the Governer is all fired up in the third one.
