According to the IKEA website, an April 13th press release states the metro-Detroit location opening date to be Summer 2006. It is on the corner of Ford and Haggerty, in Canton, right off 275. The blue and yellow paint is up and I cannot wait to dip into my IKEA fund. It looks very U of M, I hope State Students overlook this coincidence.

I love the accessories at IKEA… the furniture is a bit… college dorm-esque (the parts you don’t see are flimsy) but the design is really remarkable. The United States doesn’t appreciate an “everything designed” world view… except when it comes to cell-phones!
