Black Friday and I don’t mix

Did anyone brave the malls today? Not this girl. I’m just not interested in fighting over $400 laptops at Walmart. I’m not interested in anything from Walmart, really, but that’s for another entry. Hopefully I’ll be doing the majority of my shopping online this year…I just know I won’t set foot inside Great Lakes Crossing for a while. What a nightmare. I used to work at a candy store there years ago and shoppers foam at the mouth around the holiday season.

I’m no grinch — I just draw the line at rabid holiday shoppers.

I’m no grinch either, I just can’t stand the wreckless consumerism & pretentious “merry” mood.

This year all my shopping has to be done at Borders – yipee no crowds for me.

I shopped at Great Lakes Crossing on Black Friday and had an awesome shopping experience. There were amazing deals and I even met Mitch Albom. I must have spect 8 or 9 hours at Great Lakes Crossing alone.

You’re a braver soul than I, Gemini. I wouldn’t spend 8 or 9 hours at any mall, at any time, let alone on Black Friday. Hope your shopping is done!
