Silverdome

Yesterday, I attended a function across the street from the Silverdome. More than Tigers Stadium, the surrounding area looks empty and desolate. Much like Tigers Stadium, I am not really sure what an alternate use for the Silverdome would be. Unlike Tigers Stadium, it doesn’t really have much history that I can think of, other than hosting the first indoor games of a World Cup series. (Yes soccer)

So what would you like to see happen to the Silverdome? Or Tiger Stadium?

I think it’d make a great location for the WORLD PETANQUE FINALS…

I would like to see Tiger Stadium open again. I don’t know for what, maybe some of the colleges and universities could all share the use of the park for their baseball/softball games? I don’t know if it would work, but it would be pretty cool. There isn’t enough money to just preserve it and open it for people to look it, even though that’s probably the best thing.

The Silverdome is a dump. It is a terrible stadium that nobody enjoys playing it. I would like to see it imploded. And I want to be there when it happens.

Haha, I used to go rollerblading there, too. I grew up in Pontiac, not too far from the Silverdome. I don’t know about the rollerblading, but they have screens for a drive-in theatre now.
