No religion is perfect. Church is the human, therefore flawed, way of observing religion.

The Christian God is the only thing perfect in this world. Like said by MGAL, church is human-established and bound to flaws.

they do know who started those billboards… and it was a Christian…

the church that advertises the billboards you mentioned is called “Perfecting Church”… that’s the name of the church… just like a church would call itself “First Baptist Church”…it doesn’t say it’s the perfect church… i don’t find anything blasphemous about the name… the church is supposed to make people better, so if they’re doing what they’re supposed to do, “Perfecting Church” actually makes sense…

church in and of itself isn’t perfect, but Christ makes the church perfect…

It is great that we agree that humans are not perfect; therefore, no human being can claim perfecting church, which confirms exactly that which was concerning me. I am sorry that I missed the point of the billboard and took the name to be a slogan, in which case all accusations of blasphemy are dropped

Yeah, I think a little open-mindedness would be valuable to this kind of discussion.

open-mindedness is definitely needed… i apologize if i came across as anything but… on the otherhand, often times it is difficult to appear open-minded yet still hold firm to what you believe is the truth…

last i heard, the billboards are a national thing and were individually funded by some rich guy down south… but that’s what i heard…
