Monroe and Randolph?

On the side of the yellow building at Monroe and Randolph (the building next to the one with the big barber pole), there is a new ad. It used to have a Standard Federal ad painted on the side, but now it has a very permanent looking Starbucks ad. Anyone know what is going on? Is there a Starbucks going in near there?

The block between Monroe, Randolph, Brush, and Lafayette was once an orchard and amusement park with a small zoo. In the early 1840’s, a bathhouse was added, featuring the latest wooden bathtubs.

you hear anything about this at all??? i drove by it the other day… it’s interesting, but i doubt they’re putting a starbucks anywhere around there, though it’d be a good idea…

on a similar note, a new Starbucks will be opening at the Ellington in Midtown at the corner of Woodward and Mack…
