New Restaurant to Open in the Fisher

According to the Free Press, a new restaurant will open just in time for the Super Bowl. The Grand City Grille will open on January 21st in the New Center of the Fisher. The restaurant is owned by Southern Hospitality Restaurant Group, who also own Seldom Blues and Sweet Georgia Brown. Dinner prices will range from the mid-teens to the low-twenties. They will also be open for lunch serving soup, salad and sandwiches.

“The Fisher Building and the history behind it” made it an attractive restaurant location, he said, and he is looking forward to reaching a broader audience that includes theater-goers and families. Located in the same building as the Fisher Theatre and accessible from the sidewalk on Grand Boulevard as well as from the building’s interior, the spacious, glass-walled restaurant will be open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and cocktails.

Its a bit out of my price range, being a poor college kid, but I would like to stop by there for lunch one day. You know, after the thousands of Super Bowl bound out-of-staters leave. A Cobb salad and Philly does sound pretty good about now.

The trio also own the new Detroit Breakfast House and Grill on Woodward, which is also fabulous.

Talk about three guys that are doing great things in Detroit! Kudos to them and I hope they enjoy success for many years to come.

I really want to try the Breakfast House. It *is* my favorite meal of the day.

A bit off topic, but has anyone been to the Rowland Cafe in the Guardian Building? I was just there for the American City signing. I thought is was very good coffee and their deli sandwiches were AWESOME.
