Max, bitching is the American way. Yeah its a good opportunity, but for someone that works and goes to school downtown - IT IS a major pain in the ass. Otherwise, point taken.

The parking issue is minor.

The street closures may be a minor unless you live within or directly outside the street closures. Then it is requiring creativeness to get to and from your place as the usual ways home are blocked.

I just saw problems with the detour signs over the weekend. In some cases, I have heard of people being forced to go the wrong way on one-way streets.

i can't believe that i have actually heard people complain about this little inconvenience. it's a once in a lifetime (probably) event that should do nothing but positive things for the city and quite possibly change the entire worlds perception of "us" but yet some are quick to bitch about minor details like having to walk an extra block or two because of parking. selfish, selfish people.

I know that some businesses in the area are concerned about the street closures in and around Ford Field and Campus Martius Park, but I think that the increase in foot traffic will more than make up for the inconvenience.
