WOW, what a week it was! Living and working in the Central Business District gave me a front row seat to all the action during SBXL week.

The Steeler Nation was well represented and what a nice crowd they are. All they wanted to do was celebrate the best team in the NFL and watch the Steelers win the Super Bowl. Met so many cool people from the Burgh’. Guy named the Big Bazoo. Huge. Maybe 380. One of those people you meet and you like right off. We’re at Cobo Joes after the win and this big lug is crying his eyes out with joy. Hey, he wasn’t the only one.

The City never looked better. The Super Bowl Host Committee did a magnificent job. The logistics alone are mind boggleing. A 6 ft. chain link fence, 300 feet out from and around Ford Field. 1100 buses to transport fans from the tri-county area. 2000 volunteers to help meet, greet, clean and serve. Traffic control, delivery schedules. . . and it all went off like clockwork. Cudo’s to everyone involved. I was privileged to be right in the middle of it and it was something I will never forget. . .
