Vicente’s Cuban Cuisine
if you’re lookin’ for something different to do in the D, i highly recommend Vicente’s Cuban Cuisine!!! the food, while a little pricey, was great… but the best thing about the place is the dancing…
i’m not a great dancer by any means, but that didn’t matter because on friday nights they give free Salsa lessons… the lessons start at 10 p.m. teaching the basics and then after about 20 minutes they open up the dance floor so the pros can show you up!!! haha… man, they had some folks who really knew what they were doing, which was great to watch all it’s own…
anyways, check the place out… it’s located on Library St., near the Y and right next to where Cafe Detroit used to be… the Cuban food and Cuban atmosphere are a great experience… but you gotta give the dancing a try!!! even the wait staff dances for fun when they aren’t serving…

Oh man. I love Vicentes. The mohitos are heavenly and parking there is a peice of cake.
Went there last Friday after reading your post reminded me I’d never gone. I could say lots of good things about their wait staff and everyone there. And don’t forget to consider Vicente’s when thinking of getting some tapas! (If not Small Plates, of course.)
