Let them eat Corned Beef and Cabbage

Following the traditional lead of the Cardinals in Boston and Chicago, Cardinal Maida has granted all members of the Archdiocese of Detroit permission to eat meat this Friday (aka St Patrick’s Day). Unlike some of the other diocese, Cardinal Maida has not requested parishioners to abstain from meat this Wednesday in exchange.

Cardinal Maida simply ask parishoners to remember to perform some simple acts of penance (prayers, fasting, abstinence are the traditional ones) during this Lenten Season.

I absolutely adore corned beef and cabbage . . . don’t tell the other Hindus. So, where is the best place to get that dish in Detroit?
