The Buzz Bar has only been open for several weeks now, but has already proved itself to be a great venue for local acts. On the main floor, you enter in to a pizzeria and cafe bar. I have yet to try any of the menu, but it looks delicious. The floor is fitted for relaxing music or a movie on their 50 inch TV. Upstairs is fitted for the entertainment. A stage, full bar and cabaret seating occupy the upstairs. I heard there is an outside deck to overlook towards the river. I saw the door that leads to it, but didn’t realize that’s what was out there until later

The bar is owned by the Novak brothers, who gave us The Music Menu years back, and Adam Laurie a high-profile bartender from places such as Agave and the Majestic. Some of Detroit’s greatest acts are lined-up to play. There is an act almost every night.
