An Amazing First 40

I can’t believe my eyes. After yesterday’s sloppy win over Minnesota, the Detroit Tiger’s are currently #1.

#1 in the division.
#1 in the American League
#1 in all of MLB.

You can’t take that for too much. There are still plenty of games to be played, but one thing is for sure. The Tigers are playing a great season thus far.

well, as the Wings and Pistons have shown us, having the best record in the regular season doesn’t mean that much… however, this is the Tigers and it’s quite a big deal that they’re where they are considering where they’ve come from…

It’s only a shame that they have one of the worst per-game average attendances in the Major Leagues. Perhaps that’s part of the weather, but I think it’s because people would rather stay home & watch the Pistons in the playoffs. That will change if the Tigers keep up this pace – they could take the AL Central, and make the *gasp* playoffs.

as does your response to my post, to this response..

i guess good news is good news, eh?
mine was a bit delayed though, as i’m 300miles East, so they concentrate more on other major league teams… sad really..
