Calling all 80s Children
Pull out those leg warmers and dust off those jelly shoes — tonight is Bookies Tavern’s first annual Prom, and they’re pulling out all the stops to make sure it’s an event you won’t soon forget.
Run by children of the 80s, the guys over at Bookies thought it only right to kick off the bar’s first annual prom-like shindig with a focus on the decade that brought the world things like the Trapper Keeper and introduced phrases like “fer sure” and “gag me with a spoon” into our mainstream culture.
Those 21 and over are invited to head over to Bookies tonight for a trip down memory lane, complete with disco balls, spiked punch and 80s tunes. The best-dressed man and woman at the event will be crowned king and queen.
