I watched from home. There was very good TV coverage. It looked like a great display this year. Next year I am going to do what I can to get out and see the show in person.

I enjoyed the view from my midtown apartment ( at the belcrest ). Our view was amazing and romantic. Afterwards, my girlfriend and I walked over to the DIA and played in the fountains there with some kids.

While we were walking home, some assholes pulled up to the corner of Woodward & Kirby and threw a pizza box out of their car, blatantly littering. When my girlfriend picked up the box to throw it in the garbage can (about 15 feet away) they yelled at us, which yielded some less than friendly comments from me back at them. Why do people think the city is their personal garbage can?

I love Detroit, I hate when people think they can ruin our town. Overall, a great experience though.
