Best places to live

In it’s annual review of the best places to live, Money named five Detroit “suburbs” in the top 100.

#14 – West Bloomfield
#25 – Ann Arbor
#29 – Farmington Hills
#37 – Sterling Heights
#82 – Warren

(ok I know there is debate about whether or not Ann Arbor is a suburb but that is why I put suburb in quotes)

If you check out some of the other lists, like safest or most singles, you’ll find even more local communities making the cut.

What? Grosse Pointe was beat out by Warren? I know there are some nice parts of Warren, but when you look at it as a whole — including the southeast side known as ‘Warrentucky’ — I can’t see it being in the top 100.
