Go Tigers

I haven’t been to a Tiger’s game since last season. It’s obviously no secret at this point that they are far better than they were last year.

If you haven’t been to a Tiger game yet this year, take it from a child of the ’84 series that this team has all the magic of that team. I’m not even that much of a sport fan in general, but there’s something about the ballgame that has magic unlike any other sports event I’ve been to around Detroit. It transcends the game itself, being more about the crowd and the unspoken camraderie amongst the crowd. I’ve been to Pistons games where people tend to be less interactive. You don’t see folks directing the wave there (at least… I haven’t)

I’ll definitely be making it to more games before the season is out. You all should too!

Baseball is the people’s game. Now that the Tigers are winning, more fans come to see them play, and the experience is quite unique. Unlike the Pistons, who now mainly sell their tickets to those who can afford them (and an occasional lucky fan who can score some nosebleeds), the Tigers have an extra 20,000 seats in their venue. Their downtown access and cheaper ticket prices means it is a lot easier to have a great time at the ballpark for anyone who loves the game of baseball.
