Living “The Dream”

Woodward Dream Cruise 2006 hits the archives.
I spent Wed night, all day Thurs, Friday evening and all Saturday sun up to sun down watching, riding and living the Woodward Dream Cruise.
The best day for seeing “dream” cars was Thursday. Most of the out of towners had already made their way into town.
I find it very difficult to explain how it feels to roll down the street, in a 72 Nova, to your left a 41 Ford coupe, and to your right a Ferrari Enzo.
My family and I huddled around a tent to get out of the rain on the corner of Woodward and 12. Once the rain let up we wiped off the cars and hit the pavement. As always there were way too many Mini Vans and Envoys clogging up the road. If only there could be a way to stop the soccer moms and home office dads from ruining a good thing. Next year I will have a very obnoxious sign stating my opinions on this.
Overall we had a good time and look forward to next year.

Yep despite of the threatening skies the event was a success. Congrats for being part of the more than 40,000 drivers of unique and exotic cars that delighted a lot of automotive press people

I was at the dream cruise as well both Friday and Saturday and noticed the FREEK energy drink tent. There were a ton of kids stopping traffic and passing out free samples and other FREEK stuff. I had a chance to try each flavor of FREEK and really liked it. The FREEK cars were awesome and were an awesome addition to the dream cruise. I’ve heard it’s the new halloween drink and think it will continue to be a huge hit.

Yeah, I was at the Dream Cruise on Saturday afternoon and these hotties were on top of a boat passing free stuff out. So I parked, got out, went over to them and they gave me a free can of FREEK. I had the tangerine one, I think it was nicknamed Maniac or something. It was actually really good. Way better than Red Bull. It tastes more like regular pop and it actually gave me quick pep of energy. Sad to say, I didn’t get that hot chick’s number.
