Weekend Football

A big hip-hip-hooray goes out to U of M, MSU and Wayne State – the football squads of each brought home victories this weekend.

The University of Michigan stomped #2 Notre Dame, beating the Fighting Irish 47-2, while Drew Stanton and the Spartans claimed a 38-23 victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers. Wayne State also won its game, coming from behind to beat Mercyhurst College 35-31 at Adams Field in Detroit.

The bleak spot of area football goes to the Lions, who lost – again – to the Chicago Bears. The final score was 34-7. Let’s hope their 0-2 start this season is just a fluke…

For some reason, I’m willing to bet that the Lions losing is not a fluke. :)
