Detroit Lions: How we love thee

On Sunday afternoon, I was at the Livonia Rec Center running on the treadmill and watching the Lions play on the overhead televisions. After the Lions blew the 4th down by tossing the ball into the hands of the Viking defense, which was returned into the Lions endzone, people just started laughing. Not laughs of disappointment, just laughs of “I knew this would happen but I watched them anyway!” There were about 5 other people on treadmills doing the same thing I was doing and everyone just laughed and started making jokes about the Lions. Consistently week in and week out, the Lions find a way to lose – it just amazes me.

Who really cares. Football is a joke and the punch line is the Lions! Send em back to Ponticrack.

wow, why so angry? sounds like you’ve bet on the Lions to win one too many times. and what would sending them 20 miles away do besides help me get a better parking spot downtown every other Sunday?
