The Ball that changed the world

Apparently, the lucky son-of-a… that caught Magglio’s 2-out, bottom of the ninth home run that brought the Tigers to the World Series was not the first person to come in contact with it.

Some poor man had the ball clock him in the head — producing a rather large lump — at which point the ball landed in the hands of the guy who “caught it”.

I’ve personally never caught a ball in Tigers Stadium (old or new) but I did have one fly by my face in Comerica park and hit someone else.

Have any of you ever caught a ball at a Tiger’s game?
