The Book-Caddy
In case you just returned from the Moon, the historic Book-Cadillac Hotel at Washington and Michigan Ave. is under renovation. Some 455 rooms will decorate a Westin hotel with an additonal 67 homes and retail.
The big news is that they have barely begun the construction and two condos sold this weekend for more than a million $$ a piece! Wow, now that’s progress and shows how important restoring a cultural icon can be. The other 65 condos are expected to sell by the end of the year.
John Ferchill, a likeable guy, who just happens to be the one who restored the city of Cleveland, put this $180 million dollar deal together. He loves the D’ and it shows in his work. Many thanks to you John and the Detroit Economic Growth Corp. for having the vision to invest in the City of Detroit.
I think you’re giving him a little too much credit for Cleveland – it’s a pretty big town for just one man.
