Downtown Buildings
I presume we have lots of readers who want to know what is going on with the buildings downtown this weekend. It’s Friday night / Saturday Morning and read past the jump for more:
Renaissance Center – Pretty normal. The central tower (the hotel) is lit up but no special spotlights.
Penobscot – The insets of the building are lit in red but otherwise the building is normal.
Comerica Tower – Every light inside the building is on. Looks pretty cool from a distance. Usually, on a Friday night only 1/3 of the lights are on.
Cadillac Tower – Normally only 1/8 of the lights are on. Tonight, every window in this building is lit up. Looks kind of cool.
Guardian Building – Usually, the very upper crest of the building lit. Today, it is a lit, but the flag above the crest is lit as well too.
David Stott Tower – They replaced the lights for the Superbowl, but obviously not the World Series. Only about half of the lights they put in for SuperBowl XL are still functioning.
150 West Jefferson – Literally every single window in this building is lit. It’s by far, the most lit building downtown this weekend.
CoPa – The lights are half-on tonight.
The Carpenters/MRCC building – That hammer is still going….
they just changed the accent lighting for the Penobscot to a fitting orange, white and blue… and the Fisher is also blue and orange…
