Pappys
Last night for the Tigers game I headed downtown with a friend, parked in Cobo and walked to Greektown. We wanted to go to the Old Shillelagh in Greektown but it was packed and had a line out the door at 6. We walked further down Monroe and the bar at Pizzapapalis was packed as well. We decided to walk back and found a not-too-busy Pappy’s Sportsbar and Grill. We got lucky and got two spots at the bar about 2 feet away from the beer taps and about 10 feet away from the two giant plasma screens. Once the game started the place got packed, so we really lucked out.
9 innings, a pretzel tower, and an uncertain number of $4.72 Stellas later, the Tigers lost, but hey, there’s still tonight, right?
