Welcome, Graz!
The Metroblogging family officially welcomed its 50th city today: Graz.
In today’s increasingly global environment, Metroblogging Detroit is excited to be part of this worldwide team and we look forward to learning more about Austria’s second-largest city through the intimate, street-level view Metblog authors are known for.
You can find some background information on Graz here, but, if you’re interested in what it’s really like, there’s no better place to start than Metroblogging Graz.
I love the wikipedia page on Graz. Check out the “Transportation” section with the hand-drawn picture of their tramway network. Not really sure I’d trust that.
I’m from Michigan but have lived in Graz for 6 years now. It’s an amazing town and has become like a second home to me-I would strongly sugget it as a place to see if you are ever in the area. If you’re looking for a public transportation network map that is slightly more professional than the one at wikipedia, I would suggest looking here:
