Heather Nash is an unassuming woman, mother and business owner. She is one of our nieghbors who live across the river in Windsor and she owns and operates a successful B&B.
Heather has started another business that is worth talking about. It’s called Road Trips for Charity [1]. The idea is to give people more mobility and give them the opportunity to travel to events and malls both in Windsor and the Detroit Metro area.
For those wanting to visit places like Ikea in Canton, Mexican Town or a Red Wings Game or have lunch and a beer at some of downtowns restaurants and bars, they can board her bus in Windsor for the small price of $20, sit back and enjoy the ride.
The great thing is that a percentage of the cost to ride goes to worthy charities like Downtown Mission 7 that helps the homeless and Local Parent Councils among others. Furture trips will include the DSO on Friday mornings for brunch.
Ms. Nash’s ideas for business brings our communities closer together and allow people in Windsor, who don’t like the hastle of driving across the border or who otherwize don’t have transportation, the chance to enjoy events and venues here in the D’.
