Halloween Weekend
It was sweet having an extra hour this Saturday night before Halloween at the bar and clubs. There were some great costumes at the Zombie Dance Party at the Magic Stick. There were the always dependable lingerie type costumes, the undead, some fairies, Tigger, pirates, and even Edward Scissorhands. I must say I am totally thrown off by the time change and got up entirely too early this morning and now I’m exhausted and its not even 8.
But the question is, what did you dress up as?
Confession. I really was not much of anything. I used the holiday to pull out a much shorter than usual skirt, some pixie lashes, and to wear my pentangle in public. No, I do not secretly practice witchcraft, but I am fascinated with “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight” and the pentangle’s representation of the five virtues of knighthood. It is horrible when a symbol is so marred. It is kind of how we use the swastika for Hindu religious ceremonies, but you leave your swastika jewelry at home for fear of being labeled a Nazi. Far too much information.
