I just finished reading Middlesex ^[1] by Detroit area author Jeffrey Eugenides. Absolutely brilliant. The history, the description, and the meticulously researched subject matter were interwoven marvelously. You will never look at Greektown or the Ambassador Bridge the same way again. I could not put down this 500 page mammoth. It is clear to see why it won the Pulitzer Prize.
