D-Rod

How do you feel about the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau’s ditching of a slogan for a graphic representation of our city? The text on the “D-rod” is as follows:

D
Cars
Culture
Gaming
Music
Sports

Was it supposed to be in alphabetical order? The order rolls off the tongue, and begins with the city’s famed historical export to more contemporary offerings. I like it a lot. I will buy the magnet as soon as it hits shelves, if it decides to come into being.

    sure there is, it’s just that no one outside of Detroit knows about it. and i think this new slogan is better than their other considerations:
    “DETROIT-MORE THAN JUST HOCKEY AND CRIME”
    or
    “DETROIT-YOU’LL COME FOR THE NITELIFE BUT YOU’LL LEAVE BECAUSE YOU’RE SCARED”
