Ansel Adams – ick.

If you haven’t seen the billboard in I-94 yet, then you wouldn’t know that the Ansel Adam’s show opens up at the DIA this weekend. A lot of people like his photography. Not me. I do not intend to go to this show, however I will probably visit the Detroit Film Theatre sometime soon and to prove that I am a man of little culture, I will probably attend the Dog Show instead of Ansel Adams.

I beg to differ with Tom, but I have to admit that the reproduction of his work for college campus poster sales makes his work akin to my college dorm room experience. I also really like Monte Nagler’s work. He is from Michigan, studied under Ansel Adams, and has all his stunning work up on his site.

as for the dog show…i attended a few years back as i’m really into exotic animals and thought it would be a chance to see some odd breeds (like my Chinese Crested Hairless) but found the atmosphere to be more like an afternoon at a flea market in Richmond.
