Encounter with Coleman

I hear such varying opinions about ex-Mayor Coleman Young and always manage to encounter him on clothing. Slogan seen on t-shirt today:

    …he’d tell you to stay north of 8 Mile…especially if you’re white.

    You should read Coleman Young’s Autobiography. It’s not the most well written book ever but you can see what went through Mr. Young’s head during his Mayor days.

    I’m still not a huge fan of him but I think he did the best he knew how to do.
