St. Patrick’s Day Parade

I have been anticipating the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Corktown all year, and it falls this weekend when I’m out of the country. I attended last year and I assumed that it would be held the weekend of St. Patrick’s Day, but I suppose with the staggering, there are now two excuses to drink and dye poodles green. It will at least be great business in Corktown for two weekends. The parade takes place this Sunday on Michigan Avenue in Corktown.

The Parade is ALWAYS held the Sunday before St. Patricks day. A weekend 17th means two weekend parties. The Detroit Gealic League and United Irish Charities Co- Produce the parade.

I will be sure to remember that for next year and schedule two weekends to party for St. Patrick’s Day.
