New Construction Update

The Book Caddilac rehab project, which is scheduled to open in October, 08′, has only four condo’s left and is getting ready to lure restaurants for it’s retail space. In addition, representing the first new condominiums built in the central business district, The Griswold at Michigan and Griswold, is getting ready for pre-sale activities. At a total cost of $41 million, this 80 unit building will be state of the art when finished. Each condo will range from 800 to 2,800 sq.ft. and will feature a 24 hr. doorman, floor-to-ceiling windows and fireplaces. There will be nine, two story penthouses on the top, (15th) floor with great views of downtown.     i was ready to drop a bid for a half mil on one of those muthas but your link is jacked up. oh well, i guess i’ll just spend that dough on a couple drinks at Starbucks instead.

    The sketches look absolutely beautiful. I wish I had the means. Either way, whoever does will be doing something great for the city. A big thank you to the developers that are taking the chance and the buyers to be that are doing the same. Maybe Tiffany (http://detroit.metblogs.com/archives/2007/03/tiffany_tour.phtml#comments) will move in.

    wow, maybe Tiffany will move in, buy out all the other tenants then while i’m there with her she’ll sing “I think we’re alone now” to me. a boy can dream…
